IMPACT Key Stage 4 provides a 2 year programme of core GCSE courses integrated with high quality vocational courses and work experience. Working closely with outside agencies IMPACT KS4 strives to support young people to improve attendance and engagement in learning to enable them to successfully access Further Education, Employment or Training and avoid becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) on leaving compulsory education.
The KS4 Provision is delivered at a variety of training and education basis throughout Sefton and is based at Dale Acre Campus in Bootle. For the past ten years Peter Kennedy and Anthony Fitzimmons have worked at Litherland Youth and Community Centre and have provided vocational training in a variety of vocational areas, these include the following:
- ASDAN
- COPE
- AOPE
- Btec sport and active leisure
- AQA Unit award scheme
- N.C.F.E substance misuse
- N.C.F.E alcohol awareness
- N.C.F.E Health and safety
- Sport leader award
The programmes that have been managed over the past ten years have been of high quality and all externally accredited. Retention and attainment of all pupils have been extremely high over the past ten years and this has had a major impact on all the pupils who have attended,
A recent ofsted inspection that took place with Impact visited the Project and stated that the work that had been carried out with pupils was excellent,
This qualification will give you an ideal introduction to the sports industry as well as developing essential skills required for employment or progression to further qualifications and training.
